Something everyone should adress asap
Passports and Birth certificates, Do you have them? are they up to date?
Best course to take if need either; B.C.; Go to site : Vitalcheck , fill out the form, pay the 68$ (I ordered 2 copies), print out the Notary form , take the form to your bank and have your ID notorized , fax the form to the # on the page. I got the B certs in the mail 3 days later. Passport: Take BC and other ID to post office, theyll take the photo there, fill out the form and submit. $70 Passport is a must have ticket. For Freedoms sake. |
Re: Something everyone should adress asap
Thanks for the reminder, NH... I ran into some trouble at the DMV this year when I lost my license card. Apparently the "birth registration notice" that I have isn't a birth certificate. "But lady, I was born in BETHESDA NAVAL! You know, the place the president gets his medical care? I'm probably a citizen, huh? Can you see the picture from the ID I'm replacing? Well, does it look like me?"
I just barely talked them into taking it when I came back with my electric bill, bank account statement, ss card and tax return. It's the only document I've ever used to get an ID before, I guess this is the new RealID stuff already going into effect. What a nightmare. I'm going to go look at vitalcheck. |

I have mine. I've made sure I have both of those items, even when I don't plan to travel anywhere soon.

Re: Something everyone should adress asap
Pardon my ignorance, but why the birth certificate too? Isn't passport enough?
I'm especially interested in this issue in light of this question: What if I'm interested in dissolving the "birth certificate" and all it implies? i.e. UCC-1 ---> http://goldismoney.info/forums/showt...th+certificate . |
